My Approach

The roots of resilience...are to be found in the sense of being understood by and existing in the mind and heart of of a loving, attuned, and self-possessed other.
— Diana Fosha

We come into this world and learn how to be human through our relationships and our attachment to others. Whether this has been a painful journey or relationships have been a source of strength, I believe that a strong therapist-client relationship is a crucial first step for anyone embarking on the work of better understanding and navigating their lives.

Each person enters therapy with their own unique and complex story, and I don’t believe that there is a ‘one size fits all’ approach to treatment. When starting therapy,  I use a collaborative approach to decide what each client wants and needs from therapy. I am trained in therapeutic techniques that emphasize both finding immediate solutions to distress, as well as longer-term attachment work promoting insight and create lasting, more deeply rooted change.
